Elementary Physical Education Assessment
Kines 395A
I taught a 5th grade basketball shooting lesson for my class, and I created a formal assessment to go along with it. I taught the students how to shoot the ball using "BEEF" cues. I used this assessment to determine which students needed extra help with their shooting. I watched each student shoot the ball, and put either a check or an X over each letter.
Elementary Physical Education Assessment
I taught an elementary soccer lesson. I taught the students how to dribble, pass, and receive the ball. Using my lesson objectives, I graded the students' ability to utilize the cues they learned to perform the activities. They were given either a 1, a 2, or a 3 based on whether they always perform according to the objectives, sometimes do, or never do.

Secondary Physical Education Assessment

I taught a high school football throwing and catching lesson for my class, and I created a formal assessment to go along with it. Towards the end of the lesson, we played a game of Ultimate Football. I spent time observing each student, and I used this assessment to check off whether the student was inadequate, adequate, or advanced in a football grip, throwing, and catching.

I taught a middle school cardiovascular fitness lesson during my secondary student teaching placement. I created a formal assessment to go along with it, that assessed the class as a whole. The activities on this rubric are Builders and Bulldozers, Fitness Relays, and Finding the Heart Rate.

I taught a secondary health lesson on prescription drug addiction. I gave the students a Mad Lib to complete with the help of research. I graded this worksheet with a formal assessment rubric.
